How to Start a Virtual Assistant Agency Business

So many small businesses need help with admin tasks, social media management, customer service and just running their business on a weekly basis.

That’s why virtual assistants are so popular with small business owners. This is a very lucrative industry. And you can create a very profitable business if you create a virtual assistant agency.

This is where other virtual assistants to do the client work while you manage it and live off the profit margins.

You as the founder and owner would be more like the manager of the business and just live off of a percentage of how much the agency makes.

What Does A Virtual Assistant Do?

A virtual assistant can do tasks such as calendar management, email management, customer service, social media, research, travel arrangements, organize your files.

All this is done online. And that's why a lot of small businesses and startups who cannot always hire a lot of employees hire virtual assistants instead.

Now, many virtual assistants will have multiple clients. So one VA may have four to five different clients and may only work few hours a week.

They don't necessarily have to work 40 hours, they can work five hours a week, 10, 20. It really just depends on what the business owner needs from them.

Some virtual assistants actually have a specific specialization. Some just work with real estate or healthcare or with doctor's offices. There are virtual assistants who specialize in just helping therapists with managing their practice.

Many others specialize in specific services like social media management, lead generation, website design, etc. And then there are general VAs who may do a wide variety of tasks and a business owner can train a VA to do tasks that are very specific to their business.

So if you are looking to become a virtual assistant or start this type of business, one of the pitfalls of being a virtual assistant is that at some point you can only take on but so many clients.

Instead of being capped at just 3 or 5 clients, you can instead create a virtual assistant agency and have more clients and more revenue coming into your business.

You can hire other virtual assistants to do the client work for you. You can easily build a six figure agency doing this because you can take on a lot of clients. As you get more clients, you can hire one or two VAs.

I made a video about how to setup a virtual assistant agency business that you can watch HERE.
